REISSMANN TEMPERATURE SENSORS | |
NTC/THERMISTOR | Non-linear negative temperature coefficient of resistance over the complete temperature range. Used for precise temperature monitoring, control & switching in motor & transformer windings, bearings, bus bars & industrial machines. |
PTC/THERMISTOR | Ceramic semi-conductors with very high positive temperature coefficient. Used for the thermal protection of heavy duty motors & transformers, the resistance of the device rises very steeply with relatively small increases in temperature, thus triggering the switching function when the rated operating temperature is reached. |
PTC/PT 100, PT 500, PT 1000 | A temperature dependant device, the resistance of the PT100 rises linearly with the temperature. Used for precise temperature monitoring, control and switching in motor & transformer windings, bearings, & industrial machines, where errors in measurement have to be excluded. A variety of housing are available. Also know as RTD’s. |
PTC/Si (KTY) | Silicone temperature sensors with a nearly linear positive temperature coefficient of resistance over a wide temperature range. Used for precise temperature monitoring, control and switching in motor & transformer windings, bearings, consumer/domestic electronics, automotive, heating & air conditioning where errors in measurement have to be excluded. Can also be used for the sensing & control of liquid & gas levels, thermal conductivity, flow velocity & leak tightness of tanks. A variety of housing are available. |
THERMAL ELEMENT | A thermocouple element housed in a protective tube for the thermostatic control of temperature or ‘thermo-voltage’, where an electric circuit has leads from two different metals & thus potentially has two different temperatures. This device is generally integrated into electric devices that provide further functions, e.g.. digital thermometers. |

TMS/PTC | Used in conjunction with PTC/Thermistors, the TMS/PTC relay monitors the temperature of windings in electric machines & protects them from thermal overload. When the PTC/Thermistors reach switching temperature, the TMS/PTC relay cuts power to the equipment which it is monitoring, then reactivates automatically when the equipment has cooled. |
TMS/PTC/LB | Used in conjunction with PTC/Thermistors, the TMS/PTC/LB relay monitors up to 6 PTC/Thermistors connected in series. When the PTC/Thermistors reach switching temperature, the TMS/PTC/LB relay cuts power to the equipment which it is monitoring, then reactivates automatically when the equipment has cooled. |
TMS-U | Universal relay can be used in conjunction with KTY-83, KTY-84, PT 100, PT 1000, NTC & PTC thermistors/sensors. The TMS-U relay monitors the temperature of windings in electric machines & protects them from thermal overload. When the thermistors/sensors reach switching temperature, the TMS-U relay cuts power to the equipment which it is monitoring, then reactivates automatically when the equipment has cooled to 5°C approx. below switching temperature. |
PT/KTY CONVERTER BOX | Converts the resistance of a PT 100 or PT 1000 sensor and povides the corresponding resistance of a KTY sensor. Allows the replacement of the discontinued KTY-84 sensor with a PT 100 or PT 1000 sensor. |
PT/KTY CONVERTER DIN | Converts the resistance of a PT 1000 sensor and povides the corresponding resistance of a KTY sensor. Allows the replacement of the discontinued KTY-84 sensor with a PT 1000 sensor. Converter DIN is disigned to be mounted on DIN Rails. |
PT/KTY CONVERTER MICRO | Converts the resistance of a PT 1000 sensor and povides the corresponding resistance of a KTY sensor. Allows the replacement of the discontinued KTY-84 sensor with a PT 1000 sensor. Converter MICRO is a plug and play solution according to Siemens Norm 6FX (Green wire) with M23 17 pole jack. |
